4. Mirror House Kuwait City

The House of Mirrors, commonly known as the Mirror House, is located in Qadsiya, Kuwait. It is essentially the house of painters Khalifa Qattan and his wife Lidia Qattan, and it is today known as the Khalifa & Lidia Qattan Art Museum. They have spent the last 60 years transforming her house into a mirrored artistic masterpiece inspired by her inventiveness. Lidia is an Italian-born artist and writer who, along with her husband Khalifa, has turned this location into a lovely sanctuary. She began her endeavor to transform their house into a great piece of art on her own in 1966. In 2006, the couple opened their house to the general public, accepting visitors and enabling them to have personal tours of the property with Al-Qattan herself.

She has refurbished and improved the appearance of her house with themed murals made of 70 tons of mirrored mosaics. This strange project has become Al-life Qattan's obsession, with each wall carefully planned and ornamented with designs and the rooms structured thematically.
