What is travel ban in Kuwait?
Travel bans are official limitations enforced by the Kuwaiti government to prevent persons involved in disputes from leaving the nation. They may arise from any kind of criminal or civil case, or from an immigration infraction. They are typically not lifted until the relevant matter (i.e., the criminal case, civil lawsuit, or immigration infraction) is resolved.
A travel ban in Kuwait may be imposed for any number of reasons. For instance, financial disputes may allow Kuwaiti civil courts to impose travel restrictions. These conflicts could arise between coworkers, between debtors and creditors, between landlords and renters, or between lessors and lessees. If the travel ban is based on a financial disagreement, it could be feasible to get it lifted by putting down a payment to the court that is equal to the amount that is being disputed.
In order to keep people from leaving the nation while it is conducting criminal investigations, the Kuwait Public Prosecutors Office may also place travel bans on them. Those who overstay their visas or work without authorization will also be banned from traveling by the Ministry of the Interior. Typically, these bans will not be lifted until the matter is resolved. People who have travel bans due to immigration infractions will sometimes also find themselves in deportation proceedings.
